It started with one printer

Quantum Quirks began as a hobby with a single 3D printer. Friends and neighbours came round to see what it could do, then asked to buy the things coming off it. That was the start of the business.

Two more printers have joined since, so orders print a lot faster. The shop grew out of the same idea it started with: print something people would love to own, and post it for free.

Two machines do the printing

Both are Core XY printers that handle multi-colour prints in a single run, which is how a moon lamp keeps its detail and a model kit keeps its edges.

Bambu Lab P1S with AMS

An enclosed Core XY printer that is fast and reliable, and the one most orders come off. The enclosure lets it handle trickier materials like ABS, ASA and PETG. Its Automatic Material System holds four spools, five colours if we use the rear spool, so multi-colour prints come off in one go.

Questions we get asked

Can I have a shop item in a different colour?
Yes. Pick a colour on the product page before you add it to your basket, or tell us in the notes at checkout. There is no extra charge for a colour change.
What does postage cost?
Nothing extra. Every price on the site already includes postage to the UK mainland (England, Scotland and Wales). We do not post to Northern Ireland, the islands or outside the UK.
What quality will my print be?
With Quantum Quirks 3D Printing, what you see is what you get. The photos show the prints as they come off the machines.
Can you print my own design?
Yes. Send your 3D .stl file through the custom print form and we will discuss your requirements before printing.
Do the lamps come with a plug?
No. Each lamp uses a 5 watt LED and runs off a USB plug, which you will need to supply. That low wattage is why they suit caravans, motorhomes and narrowboats.
